To commemorate Redmond’s 100th Anniversary, and to share the rich history of art and artists in the area, VALA has selected twenty-two local artists to create the Redmond Centennial Collection. For each artist, Redmond means something different and we’ve asked them to share their connection through their art to help celebrate the centennial year.
The collection will be installed at the VALA Gallery and will open on November 29th with a reception that evening from 5:30-7:30pm. Along with getting to meet all the artists, we’ll also be presenting prizes to juried award winners.
Selected artists are:
Angelina Kidd, Beth Anderson, CJ Peltz, Crystal Edwards, Debbie Donaway, Denise Shaffer, Enisa Memic, Erika Simon, Jacqueline Calladine, Judy Selogy, Lee Hendrickson, Linda Kelly, Phil Jensen, Sadia Hussain, Shawn Simon, Sondra Friedman, Stephanie Reilly, Susan Melrath, Terri Gordon, The Redmond Muses, Ulrike Kreppold, Yiota Georgas.
We would like to give special thanks to Redmond Town Center for sponsoring the VALA Gallery and additional thanks to Centennial Collection and awards jurors Kamal Siegel and Christine Sharp for acting as jurors for the Redmond Centennial Collection.
