CALL FOR ARTISTS
BACK TO REDMOND
A Juried Installation of Works by Local and Regional Artists
March 19 - April 11, 2020
VALA is reigniting its connection to Redmond with its first show of the 2020 Arts season, in partnership with the City of Redmond, called BACK TO REDMOND. VALA would like to showcase artworks that feature artists who have a special connection to Redmond. These artworks will answer the questions: What is your connection to Redmond? How do you live, work, and play in Redmond?
VALA will select approximately 22 2D and 3D visual artworks to be part of this inaugural exhibition. The exhibit will be displayed in the new Redmond Community Center located in Marymoor Village in Redmond, WA. The exhibit will be displayed from March 19 until April 11, 2020.
Because VALA is committed to creating strong connections between the artwork and the public, we are asking each artist to include a one- to two-sentence statement about the specific artwork submitted (no more than 50 words). This will be shown with your work to give the public deeper insight into you as an artist. The “Back to Redmond” Show is a juried show and artwork will be selected by VALA Officers, a Redmond Arts Commissioner, and a special guest juror. Deadline to Apply is February 14, 2020 at 5pm.
VALA Eastside (Venues for Artists in the Local Area) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Redmond dedicated to connecting artists to artists, artists to the community, and the community to art.
