This work was made originally with wax, and it was cast with bronze. The dress color is made with Cupric Nitrate (greens and blues) patina. Aryana has this to say about her work: “I run errands every day on the Eastside from Bellevue to Redmond to Issaquah to Kirkland. It is like going round and round all day. Just like the Ballerina dancing around cities. The faceless Ballerina could be anyone feeling the emotion of the environment and connecting with cities she passes by.”
