Explore the magic of mixed media this spring! In this free hands-on workshop, you’ll combine oil pastel + watercolor to create vibrant still lifes and blooming landscapes—featuring almond blossoms and local flowering branches. Layer bold pastel marks, then watch watercolor glide around them. The result? Beautiful contrast, texture, and natural separation that brings your work to life.

Paint a beautiful ceramic vase and take home a handmade keepsake with a flower stem. Celebrate Mother’s Day with a meaningful, hands-on ceramic art experience. In this workshop, participants will paint and personalize a ceramic vase inspired by themes of love, growth, and gratitude. Using a wide variety of acrylic paints—including red, pink, white, gold, and additional accent colors—participants will explore floral motifs, hearts, abstract patterns, and symbolic designs.

Each participant will receive a flower stem to place in their finished vase, creating a beautiful, ready-to-gift keepsake. This workshop offers a warm, inclusive environment for all ages to slow down, create, and celebrate Mother’s Day through art.
 

Presented by VALA Eastside and Vibrant Moments Studio.

Together Center and VALA Eastside Present "Recycled Dreams," a joint exhibition featuring local artwork created with recycled and reused materials! This show celebrates environmental sustainability through creative practice. Artists transform the found, neglected, discarded, and abandoned into something new – inviting us to look again at what we throw away and what we choose to keep.
